Hi, I have bad foot odour after l wear shoes all day. For the last 30 years l have been using diposone cream on my feet to control my foot rash. My skin is really soft due to using the quarterzone cream. any thing l can do to fix the smell

You should try an alcohol based germ eliminating odor removing spray foam for your shoes, i used to have the same problem and i use that in my shoes 2x a week, and put baby powder in them once every 2 days and bam , no more smell.

I have done a lot of research over the years into smelly feet as I had the worst pair. It seems that there are 5 types of bacteria which cause smelly feet, the majority of foot powders only target 2 or 3 so dont really work. Cleaning and drying your feet does help alot, but just keeps foot odur down and does not kill the bacteria. I tried everything before I found one on the internet called "Gran's Remedy" it's from New Zealand but there are a few UK companies who supply it now. It is garuanteed in New Zealand and I know they swear by it. If you type it in to google shopping there a few companies that come up. Hope this is useful.

Socks: indeed merino wool socks or other very good drywicking socks

Shoes: geox, or make sure it’s breathable shoes like leather

    Insoles: Cedar wooden soles

Then ask yourself if this is a bacterial overgrowth, fungus or sweat problem. Best to always check with a dermatologist!!

Bacterial overgrowth: You can check if fucidin lotion (note it’s a medicine, don’t overuse) can help you. Sometimes anti acne lotion can help such as clindamycine or benzac 10% . The bacterias causing zits can sometimes be same bacetrias causing smell. Do please check a dermatologist before proceeding with these lotions

Fungus: check for topical antifungus like clotrimazole . Again, check with dermatologist.

Sweat: Apply strong anti perpirant (15–20% aluminium chloride), iontophoresis with glycopyronium bromide, surgery only if you have plantar hyperhidrosis (lumbar sympathetomy)
