I have Foot Fungus on my big right toe and I was prescibed medicine for this, however I haven't been taking them. My question is, I've also been having this pain in the Joint of this big toe on the same side as the Fungus, I'm wondering if they are the cause of of each other?

    Highly unlikely.

Why are you not taking the anti fungal medication?

Many, many causes of pain in the big toe joint, hallux limitus(OA changes), avascular necrosis, increased internal joint compression, sesamoid problems to name but a few.

Don't bother to google them, they are all possibilities. If the pain in the big toe joint is quite problematic and is limiting your walking/daily living activities, you need to see a podiatrist as they will be the best person to give you an accurate diagnosis and subsequent treatment plan

    Good luck
