I am scheduled for bunion surgery on 2/21/12. I have a few questions:
    1. should he have taken x-rays at any point before this?
    2. they say there are 3 levels of bunion, 1. mild 2. moderate and 3. severe. My doctor says that mine are mild, but when i look at other web sites. Mine come up as moderate.
    3. If they are mild do they stabilize the toe?
    4. If they don't stabilize the toe, will the bunions come back?

I am a 41 year old female, and i weigh 145 lbs. I am a ballroom dancer, so I am on my toes a lot. I have also developed a neuroma on both feet now, they say due to the bunions. I have been told that if the bunions were removed then the neuromas will go away.

Please help! I just need an educated opinion.

Thanks for any help you can give me
