Im 61 female 6 weeks post op chielectomy surgery with synthetic implant. Toe is moving ok but cannot get swelling down. Still in post op shoe. Cannot bear to put shoe on. Thought it would be a quicker recovery. Have elevated and iced religiously. Any suggestions? Incision is just healing. The last of the scab came off today.
The ball of my foot stays swollen.

6 weeks is probably a bit early; just keep doing what you are doing
