Sorry to hear about your loss and the injury. This is not useful for anyone's health to worry about something that doesn't depend on them. I assume you may have been advised to take the boot off from time to time and do some gentle non-weight-bearing movements or massage to promote blood flow in the immobilized leg, it should be a more useful thing to concentrate on before your forthcoming appointment. There's surely no point in worrying over something you have read over the Internet, it all may be not applicable in your case.

This is good that you keep yourself busy all day long, Baily. Healthy diet is a must indeed, as well as regular physical activity. They say our bones and tendons need regular load to stay strong. I'm ok, thank you, I'm an orthotic fitter and look here for information for other person, but I have had my fair share of ankle sprains to understand this dramatic limitation of activity when climbing stairs feels like conquering Everest. By the way, exersise is apparently the new black, a slow-working magic pill to alleviate almost any health issue. I guess you are likely to be referred to a physio at some point, for a tailored exercise program. I would be interested to learn from them about nutrition and exercising, in case if your weight loss was a way too sudden, should it be factored in when it comes to a gradual increase in physical activity. First and foremost, good luck with the ortho doc!
