I have been experiencing dull/minor pain in the arch of my foot for the past few weeks. I figured it was a sign to get new running shoes. I just purchased new shoes and went on two runs this past week and now my foot arch pain is a lot worse. I've read about plantar fasciatis, but the pain is not worse in the morning and does not really hurt in the heal, it hurts in the arch. Below is more of a description of the pain. What do you think it is? And what can I do to help it? Thank you!

where does it hurt - Arch of foot
how long has it hurt for - Badly for two days, slight occasional pain for a few weeks now
how bad is the pain - moderate now
what where you doing when it started - after running
what have you done for it so far - ice, rolling a ball on my heel, arch supports in good footware, advil
    anything relieve it - no
what have you been told about it so far - nothing
is it affecting your ability to work or play sport - i haven't tried running since the pain got a lot worse yesterday, but it hurts when I am even just sitting
do you have any other sorts of symptoms - no
what country you are in (different countries have different health systems; different scopes of practice of different disciplines; access to care might be different) - USA
