Hello there. I'm very happy to have found a community of people who understand what I go through on a daily basis.
I am 47 year old mom of a little 5 year old tornado and have extremely flat feet with overpronation. I had no idea until 2 years ago when I tagged along with my husband when he went to the podiatrist. I just thought I had bunions and achy feet from standing! That doctor said that I have the FLATTEST feet he's ever seen, which I doubt.
The reason for my post is that the only shoes I have found are running shoes. I would love to know where to find casual shoes and dress shoes that won't kill my feet.
Thanks in advance for any ideas you guys might have.

Some of the running shoe companies do make causal shoes that could be useful

This depends on what you want the shoes to look like and your definition of casual. I would have no problem wearing running shoes anywhere where casual shoes are ok. If the color of the shoes bother you, a lot of manufactures make cross trainers in all black. Cross trainers are very close to running shoes. They are usually a little heavier and have better side to side movement stability. If you want them to look pretty, that is a lot harder to find.

Thank you, I'll check on that.

Well these New Balance shoes are so big and clunky.
My daughter had a beautiful wedding back in May, and I had the hardest time trying to find a pair of shoes to go with the formal gown that I wore.
I'd like to find something like a loafer if I can. I just hoped here that I'd find suggestions and recommendations.
    Thank you so much.

Hi, Try Vionic Shoes. They can be pricy for the quality, but they are the only shoes I know that have arch support built in. They sell flats, loafers, wedges, slippers, sandals, sneakers and so on.
