Well I've got a small round patch of rock solid cracked dry skin on the bottom of my big toe (right foot). I've had it for months now. It started off as just a dry patch of skin but but now it's cracked and it's sticking out alot. It's really starting to feel uncomfortable. I would get a picture but I can't be bothered so I'll just show you what it looks like..

imagine the lumps being the cracked dry skin

Also I've started getting numbness in my big toe because of it.

Do you think that it could just be dry skin that needs taking care of or does numbness mean it's more than that?

    Thanks

I had hard skin on part of my big toe- the podiatrist said it was a type of fungus. He used a small type of electric sander to get rid of a good chunk of it. Then I used a prescription cream. He said the cracked skin in my heel was part of the same fungus. The condition got so much better! I have to go back now. I think he'll have me continue the cream for a while more. I wish I had gone to see him so much sooner than I did.
