I'll preface this by saying I don't have insurance at the moment, but won't risk permanent damage by not going ...

OK, so yesterday I was playing soccer (possible mistake for my 34 yr old body!) and all of a sudden I felt a pain in the top of my foot. I tried to keep playing, but it became almost impossible with increasing pain -- and then I just started favoring the other foot and left the game.

-The pain is on the top middle of my left foot, below the toes (third metatarsal or surrounding).
-There is maybe a little puffiness in that area compared to my other foot.
-It IS tender to the touch in that specific area.
-It is is very painful when I put weight on the ball of my foot, and therefore I'm limping (or really trying to only apply pressure to my heal).
-It is painful to try to point my toes or flex them.
-It is less painful when I sit still.

I'm icing and trying to keep somewhat elevated, but I'm mostly concerned about how much it hurts when I walk. Sorry to be so long-winded ... just wanted to be as specific as possible.

Cheers and thanks for any help.
