Made an account just for this! I was under the impression that I had a plantar wart on my foot, so I bought acid about two weeks ago and I've applied it religiously. Everything going well, until today. After my bath I got out and prepared to reapply acid when I noticed the soak had loosened a significant chunk of dead skin around and over the wart zone. Good! I thought. The closer to the wart the better, right?

And then I noticed a little black dot. Hooray! I said. I had a black dot forever ago when I noticed something painful on my foot. It had vanished but now I see it yet again, so I must be close to the source or something??

The I noticed the little black dot was no dot. It was a black hair??? I got my tweezers and started pulling tiny part visible. It wasn't painful (the wart (???) hadn't pained me for quite a while. I treated when it stopped hurting in fact) just very odd feeling. I pulled out a hair that was about half an inch embedded in my heel. So a bit over a half inch total! It had been covered by that thick chunk of heel that I peeled off!

And now I'm confused. Was my wart caused by this strange hair? Was it not a wart at all? Should I keep treating? I'm putting up a pic so you guys can tell me what you think. Warts are such a common problem but I've never in my life heard of this happening!!! gross smaller.png

    (Sorry about my gross heel!!!!)

looks like a plantar wart for me, i have a great site for you to visit but im not able to post links yet. However i know a great deal about plantar warts, and that is exactly what you have. If left untreated it will become very painful.
