I’ve always had pretty healthy feet up until now…A couple of weeks ago, I developed a dull ache in my left big toe that has since spread to the entire inside of my left foot! To my knowledge, I didn’t do anything that could have hurt my toe or foot (ie: go over on it, drop something on it, etc…) However, I do work retail, so the bulk of my day is spent on my feet…There seemed to be a bit of swelling in the beginning, however, it doesn’t seem to be swollen anymore! The ache only seemed to happen when I was wearing shoes…It didn’t matter what type of shoes I was wearing, and these shoes are the same shoes I’ve been wearing for MONTHS! So I doubt it’s the shoes that are the problem! Not having a whole lot of trouble walking on it…I just don’t like to go very far! However, I’ve had a couple of people tell me that it looks like I’m limping! However, when I got out of bed this morning, I put my foot on the floor to get out of bed(after resting it for 8+ hours!) and it started to ache! Just wondering a few things here: (1) Has anyone else ever experienced something like this? (2) What was the diagnosis? (3) What can I do to alleviate the ache? And (4) Is it worth seeing a doctor?
    Any help would be appreciated!

I would suggest you see a doctor. And, don't rule out the shoes. I have seen women who wore pointed toed shoes and it took a number of years before they developed feet problems. Could be something as simple as gout but that's a guess and you need a hands on professional to give you an educated diagnosis.

My Mom is having similar symptoms...Sent her to the doctor! Depending what her diagnosis is, and how my pain is tomorrow(after spending the entire day on it!), I'm planning on a visit tomorrow!

Since you have been having this problem for some time, why not go ahead and keep your doctor's appointment regardless of how your foot feels for only one day?
