I was loading and strapping a trailer this afternoon and I jumped down (I was about 6 ft high) and landed pretty hard. The ball of my left foot must've took the brunt on the impact. It hurt when I landed but wasn't too bad. Over the next few hours we drove and unloaded the trailer and went home. When I was out of the pick up my foot was sore and I limped but it wasn't killing me until I got home a few hours after I hurt it. Now it is unbearable to put weight on it. The pain is most severe on the outer part of my left foot (Shooting pain when I move my putter two toes). my ankle is sore now but was not until about 5 hours after the initial injury. I'm icing it and elevating it. When it's elevated it feels the best but I also have a 9 month old son so I'm still up and down quite a bit. I took some aleve, which took the edge off for a short time. Besides not jumping off the trailer again ;-) is there any advice?? Thanks!!

    You need an x-ray asap.
All you can do is use ice to help with pain in mean time.
