    Hi
I’ve had a lump on my big toe dip joint for many many years, it is not painful , but very unsightly, I’ve been too embarrassed to seek help. My big toe is stiff, and can get a shooting pain when I stretch my toe, on reading online I think it may be a bursa. I’ve never known anyone else to have this, nor seen anything online similar , has anyone else seen this? Many thanks (sorry I know it’s awful)

Its common, its is simply the bones being a bit larger than average.
If there is a shooting pain, then that possible means that a nerve is being irritated.

Every one has a very slight enlargement there, some are just bigger than others.
