I have this problem too. I think they are called piezogenic papules. From what I have read there is no necessary treatment, and removal is discouraged.

I have a similar problem but mine is a hard lump about 1 inch irregular size and it's on the bottom right side of my inner heel. Noticed it a few weeks ago and concerned about possible tumor. It doesn't move around and seems attached to heel bone and is painless.

I am a 38 year old female and what you have described is exactly what is happening for me! Mine is painful and a little itchy here and there but mainly only after standing or walking it seems to go away a bit if I rest with my feet up, so strange that mine also flares when I'm ovulating! I've never known anyone else that this happens to....would be very interested in any answers or info you may receive.

Did you ever figure this out?! Mine is below ankle, above arch. It is hard. I have flat feet but left foot is fine. I broke my left foot in 4 places 2 yrs ago and at first, I thought it was just from me overcompensating on my right foot. Flash forward till about 5 months ago and I noticed more pain on right spot. And if you look down at my feet, the right one definitely sticks out way more. It is a hard, bone like lump. I am female, early 30's and I am on my feet quite frequently for work but I'm not a runner or anything. I was told that I qualified for custom inserts but did not have the money to do so 2 years ago. So, did anyone find anything out?

I have a similar problem, I am 12 and a half, female, run a lot, have flatfoot and I have this hard, about an inch long (about the size of my ankle) circular bump/bone on the side of the inner arch of my foot, it hurts a lot and makes running hard. And I have this on both my feet, and I had it for as long as I can remember. And also I have a bon the exact same shape, size, height on the outter part of my foot and I have this on both my feet, and don't know if it's supposed to be there or not. Please help me because it's driving me nuts!!!
