    What is normal recovery process and timing for bunion removal and large toe fusion?

    There is a bit of variability but generally count on 8-12 weeks; often depends on method of fixation of the fusion and the quality of the bone. You could be doing limited weightbearing on the heel in a matter of days if lucky - often after 6 weeks can typically start transition to a stiff sole shoe ...
