Of COURSE you should at least inform your doctor, But could you or ANYONE please, calmly and without abusive rhetoric explain to me why someone who has just sustained a fracture of a major bone just a few weeks ago and is currently under the care of a doctor would not FIRST call that doctor with the complaint voiced here instead of asking anonymous persons if they have any idea of what the problem could be? Don't you really think that your doctor might be interested in hearing of problems with his/her patient so that perhaps additional problems associated with current care might be headed off? What is so intimidating about a call to ones doctor that one would prefer to possibly delay important action in favor of posting a problem such as this on the Internet? Those with less than sincere replies need not respond.

If as you relate, you are currently under the care of a doctor who is treating you for a fractured tibia and your cast was removed only a week ago and you now have foot complaints, and if what you now have said is accurate, in my view it is unacceptable medical care to not see you immediately for an assessment of your problems. Why are you standing for this? I cannot imagine a doctor who would put himself as well as you at possible risk by delaying an assessment for 2 weeks.
