    Hi there
I had a pedicure 2 months ago, and they nipped by cuticle so it bled slightly. It hurt for a few days so assumed that it was healing. However the pain has continued, and is awful at night. I have been on 2 x courses of antibiotics, but still suffering. The cuticle and lower side of toe looks slightly swollen and sometimes red, but it doesn't look as painful as it feels so I don't feel it's been taken seriously by the doctor! I have been taking painkillers for so long, and at a loss to what to do. My doctor couldn't work it out either.
    Any similar experiences/advice?

Get second opinion ASAP. Worse case scenario is that the infection is in the bone (osteomyelitis) - you need that ruled out.
