This all started about 7 months ago where i started having pain in my foot that gradually got worse. I had it for about 2 months and struggled to stand or walk but i had to keep working. Then I started feeling pain in my knee as well and after a little while the foot pain wasn't too bad but i had constant back and knee pain if i was standing for any periods of time.

Been to the docs lots and all they've done is give me pain pills. Anyway i noticed i have a huge bony but painless lump at the 5th metatarsal (not sure how long i've had it but it hasn't always been there) and one on top of my foot as well which i don't have on the other foot. I tried to show my doctor but she wasn't even interested saying bony lumps are normal.

Anyway sorry for long post but do you think this was maybe a Jones/stress fracture i had a while back and now it's not healed right? If so what action would I have to take?

Anyone had anything similar? Do you think i may have broken my foot before and now it's healed wrong as i always haven't had that lump.

I fractured my 5th metatarsal about 3 weeks ago - I went to get my plaster cast changed a few days ago and I have the same thing! A horrible lump on the side of my foot :(
I would definitely get it xray'd
    Hope it's ok
