My feet hurt so badly when I get up in the morning that I cripple around for a couple of hours. Advil and warm water help, but I start over every day. I have tried SAS shoes, Propet walker shoes, Naturalizer shoes, Soft Spots from Footsmart. It feels like my soles of my feet are bruised every morning. Is there any supplement I can take to remedy this problem? I have not seen a specialist yet, as there is none locally. I have had this problem for about a year.

There is not enough information to make even a guess, but I would think it likely that you are barking up the wrong tree by considering that either a particular brand of shoe or a dietary supplement would have any beneficial effects on your problem. You need a diagnosis before treatment can be considered.

It's never a bother to attempt to put someone on the right track. Whether or not you accept such help is up to you, but there is no call for the obvious animosity with which you've responded. Happy wild-goose hunting.

Oh I hope all the posters are not as rude as that...I was going to add to the original poster that I too suffer from that same symptoms as them in the mornings but I have been told that I have the start of osteartritis in my leg which is more than likely spreading down to my feet...i take panadol (tylenol) to relieve the pain and the stiffness in the mornings.......

What was so wrong with FootDoc's response???? You asked for his opinion and he gave you very reasonable answer.

I've been at this for years, Angie, and I've yet to discover or understand what some folks are really looking for when they come here and why some often predefine what answers they will deem appropriate. In the case of the original poster in this thread, I have no clue as to why she took such offense in my suggesting to her that in looking to shoe brands and supplements that she was on the wrong approach to solving her problem. One would think that someone who had tried a particular approach and failed would be open at least to being told not continue to persue that line of thinking, but with as little information as she was able to give, I know of no way that an alternate meaningful suggestion could have been offered. Reaction such as hers is not new to me, and though I still don't fathom them, I simply chalk them up to understanding that it takes all kinds. Yours are the kinds I prefer. So thanks for at least YOUR understanding and support.

goodness me!! I am not sure I read that she was asking for a diagnosis. I thought she was just writing in to find out if other people have had similar experiences and share ideas, there was nothing rude in her query at alll. Sometimes if you dont have the answer it would be just as easy not to reply at all rather than demoralise someone. I am surfing the net at the moment looking for any suggestions to my foot problem. I have just come back from the doctor and He was an arrogant @#@$%. He told me that there is no use going to a paediatrist, and that I simply wont walk in 10 years time as my right foot is "gone". that coming from someone who actually examined me, gosh! I think i will be looking for a second opinion, obviously not from here because someone may think i am asking for a diagnosis. hehehe!!!!!!

I have come here for the first time and I am shocked at the original posters reply to Foot Doc. I'm sure that anyone would expect an honest reply, which is what the Foot Doc offered.

Some people have big feet but small minds, hehe :)
