As the title says, I have a protrusion at the incision site which I am assuming is the screw used to anchor the tendon. I have had kidner procedure done to both feet for accessory navicular bones, the problem one I'm referring to was performed 19 years ago.

Do these things need to be replaced? Could it pop out of my foot? Is it normal for people to have other surgeries after the first one was performed?

It started out just feeling tight around the scar but now there is pain when I walk. I see the doctor Monday, but I'm terrified of having another performed. The last one has left me with permanent nerve damage and chronic pain, tenderness and muscle spasms, not to mention the post-op recovery was worse than any other pain I've experienced.

If the screw is protruding, then it probably needs to be removed.
