Red, Swollen, Itchy, Painful Toes

About a week ago I noticed a itchy red spot on one of my toes, I thought it was just a bug bite or something, nothing serious.

But it kept getting worse, soon every toe on my left foot was covered in red spots. Then it spread to the other foot too(I assume because they touch each other while I'm asleep?)

We thought it might be bedbugs(Just got a new mattress) but there were none. Next guess was athelete's foot, but I've been using the spray 3 times a day for the past 4 days and it doesn't seem to be getting any better(Might be even a little worse)

This is ONLY on my toes, it doesn't seem to be spreading any further then that for some reason. A few of the toes are slightly swollen, and there is some pain in a few of them when pressure is applied, however the itching only happens at night. I can sit/walk around all day and not have so much as a tingle, but within minutes of laying down and trying to sleep they itch bad enough to make me want to rip them off.

The first night this happened I couldn't stand it any more so I went to the bathroom turned the water on so hot I could barely stand it and stuck my feet in it for as long as I could stand to, and they didn't itch for the rest of the night.

Is that the solution? Do I just need to keep boiling my feet and hope it goes away?

Also, I don't know if it's related but I've been waking up every morning with ankle pain for the past 3-4 days and when I looked at my ankles there seemed to be bruising all the way around them, about where a sock would go.

Thank you for any help. (Oh, and if it helps any I am 21, slightly overweight, male, drug/alcohol/tobacco free)
