Hi everyone, hope someone can give me suggestions on my metatarsal pain...
Last year I had plantar fasciitis on both feet. I've come over that after I take prp injections.
However 5th metatarsal pain come after plantar fasciitis healed.
After meeting several podiatry doctors, they believe it caused by contracture of my PF after injection.
But it's rare to see persisting pain on 5th metatarsal head.
MRI scan or x ray reports are all normal.
Only the foot pressure map can show both feet 5th metatarsal head are overloaded.
It's been eleven months since I had metatarsal pain.
The pain is killing me as every step I take.
Anyone have similar problem can share experiences with me ?
    Thanks

Best approach to this would be foot orthotics to off load the 5th metatarsal head.

I have never heard of a prp injection causing a contracture.

Thanks Craig. I have tried to tailor made 4 pair of orthotics. None of them help. I believe orthotics help 1st,2nd,3rd metatarsalgia. But not really help to 4th, 5th metatarsalgia. The arch support somehow roll more weight on the lateral column of foot. For my case it make the situation worse...
