Shooting pain in bottom of little toe joint

    I have been having episodes of shooting, stabbing pain inside the foot close to the little toe..When this happens it feels worse when lying on my back..It does not appear to be injured..There is a bulge on the outside of the foot..same on the other side..but no pain on that side..

    That usually indicates some sort of nerve irritation.
    Hard to say anymore without seeing it.
