I had surgery 2 years ago for a moderate bunion. At that time all she did was shave off the bone. I had surgery again on the 4th this time with screws. I am in so much pain it's ridiculous. It seems like the norm is just wearing the surgical shoe when you have to walk. That's all I needed the first time. This surgery though, I literally cannot bear any weight. It is excruciating. Even taking Percocet. I'm not talking about going on an excursion, just walking to the bathroom is extremely painful. Did anyone need support walking? Crutches, cane, anything? My doctor just says to elevate, ice and rest but those are not working this time. I'm open to any suggestions or stories! Thank you!

You had hardware installed this time compared to just having some bone removed like last time. That is substantially more painful. Pain relief should have been arranged. Get some more medicine for the short term relief of pain.
