I posted a couple of weeks ago about a problem I have been having with pain in and around my big toe (I have tried to post a link to this thread but it isn't allowed until I have made ten posts but it is called Mystery Big Toe Pain - Nothing on MRI Scan).

I went to the doctors on Friday to discuss my MRI results and the only thing showing is synovitis of the first and second metatarsals.

I was just wondering whether anybody had any experience of this and could give me some advice on what to do next? The doctor just suggested taking Ibuprofen.

    Thanks in advance.

I forgot to ask another question - would this cause pain in the ball of my foot (under big toe) as this is where the majority of the pain is - it hurts when I press the clutch pedal in my car.
