Have had intermittent throbbing pain left foot, middle of left side, off and on for the past 10-15 years. Have seen 3 podiatrist and an orthopedic doctor. No one seems to be able to figure out why this occurs or how to treat. Also had nerve conduction tests done which were negative. I am in my 50's, on my feet all day at work. It typically starts as a stabbing pain that makes me wince and take my shoe off to massage the area, as nothing seems to help alleviate the pain. Also occurs a lot at night in bed. Anyone else have this problem and if so, what was the diagnosis? I also have a very high arch and have had Achilles tendonitis in the past. Any input would be appreciated.

Sorry, almost next to no idea what it could be without seeing it.
Sounds like you perhaps need some advanced MRI type imaging to investigate.
