On the pad of my next to the littlest left toe I have had an ongoing issue for approx. 6 months. It started just as a red spot that itched and burned. It has now evolved into a big swollen red pad of my toe that has a very small callous on it, the skin all on my pad is peeling, when I peel it off it bleeds and hurts. The callous part is very small but it is skinny and oblong running half the length of my pad. I have looked at pictures of corns and my problem is not on a bone or between my toes and it does not look like any pictures of corns I have seen. Sometimes it continues to burn but, usually it only hurts if it is messed with. Any ideas what this might be?
