    Hi all,
I am posting this out of complete desperation, I can’t find anything else online. I purchased one of those foot graters for my rough, callused heels. At first it worked miraculously. Then I made the mistake of using it the next day after exfoliating my feet and I think I took too much skin off? These white spots have appeared on my feet. Typically I know that’s dead skin, except it’s soft. I’ve tried rubbing it with a pumice and nothing. I am so upset and devastated, what can I do? Any thoughts? Will it go away? Please help.

    Hi Ari,
From the pic, it looks like you have some maceration going on there, which happens when the skin is over hydrated. It should heal, if you cease moisturising and use an astringent, such as surgical spirit for a few days. If it worsens, then arrange an appointment with a podiatrist for a full foothealth assessment.

    Good luck!
