So I recently confirmed I have a mortons neuroma on my left foot. It only started being stiff last spring, but without a doctor (let alone a podiatrist) it's gotten pretty bad. When I run my fingers along the ball of my foot I can feel it tingle in the tips of my toes. Edge of pinkie toe is numb. Cant touch my third and fourth toes together if I try. The nerves jolt and it clicks hard every time I step with my regular balance of weight on that foot. It's bad- you get the point.

Anyways, its gonna be quite a while until it can get looked at and possibly get some orthotics. I've tried massaging it at night and wearing cushy sandals in the house. Does anybody have tips for someone new to foot/nerve pain? Should I be putting heat on it? Should I be touching it? Can I still do stuff?

Any tips or comments would be helpful!
