I also have the same issue with swelling around the base of the big toe, mild discomfort, and no growth. I’ve been primarily vegetarian (I do eat fish 1-2 times a month) for about 2 years. I do take a b-12 supplement, but probably not as regularly as I should. I am curious if it could be related to diet!

I had the exact same problem, it affected both my nails at the same time and has turned into quite a saga. I wore some slippers during the worst of the pandemic that were pressing down on my big toe nails. It was so mild that i carried on using them. Then i noticed I had a mild pain around the cuticle area of both big toes when i pressed down in them. After that my toe nail stopped growing and then my cuticles became very red and inflamed and I started to get a really painful infection. I treated it with everything, tea tree, clay, sea salt and hot water, antibiotic ointment,, you name it. After several trips to the podiatrist the only solution was to have my toe nail removed. To top it off they grew back very damaged and with a fungus. My advice is to go to the podriast as soon as you can and to be very careful what shoes you were.

    Hello,

I have the same exact problem. Did you figure out what it was? Were you able to treat it?
