I've attached photos below of my feet. some help ting to identify what's up woild be appreciated.

The left foot has some strange discolouration (been there for years but finally desided to ask abut it) and there are 2 pictures of my left and right foot with what I think is Psoriasis.

I'm looking for an answer as to the discolouration, and confirmation of the Psoriasis, and possibilities for treatment of both. note that the sides are red because they are extremely itchy.

I've gone to a doctor for the sides and they've said psoriasis, but they've offered corticosteroids which have never worked.

    Thanks and kind regards.

I would agree with the GP diagnosis, specifically plaque psoriasis (there are other sub-types). These are thick, well-demarcated `islands in the sea`, red plaques with silvery scale. Often manifests before 4oth birthday and a history of other family members also having some form of psoriasis and can, unfortunately, be resistant to treatment. I have attached the British Association of Dermatologists guidelines for psoriasis, which provides the most up-to-date treatment regimes, including PUVA or photochemotherapy is a type of ultraviolet radiation treatment. You could ask your GP to refer you to a Consultant Dermatologist who will have a greater armamentarium for treatment options in psoriasis.

With regard to the pigmented rash on the top of your foot, this could also be a psoriatic lesion, but lacks the usual features. Without knowing your ful medical, occupational and familial history I cant really offer a diagnosis.

    Hope that helps,
    Bel
