Extreme Eczema on arm, now 7 weeks with little improvement.

On my right arm Iv had extreme outbreak Eczema now 7 weeks.
Iv been regularly using Betnovate. Norm during the day it calms down, then in evening the itching starts and the eczema seams to come on fire, almost glowing red. Needless to say Iv been scratching in my sleep, even till wound bleeds.
Is their any treatment other than Betnovate cream ?
The doctor seams reluctant to offer anything...
