    Hello,

I have a few fractured tarsals and a sprain on the lisfranc joint in my foot resulting from dropping a large piece of lumber on my it. The doctor elected to abstain from surgery since the fractures are non displaced, but I'm wondering if it's possible that they become displaced and how easy it is to do so if that's the case. Would it be obviously apparent?

I'm already non weight bearing for 6 weeks and in a boot, but there are a few times I've walked on it or accidentally put weight on it while wearing the boot because I'm an idiot. (will avoid doing that again) So you think it would be pretty apparent if I had further screwed it up? The pain/swelling hasn't increased at all (they've actually gone down)

Also, how soon do you think I will be walking again? Is it going to take awhile to walk pain free/without a limp? I know that you can't definitively answer this question, I'm just curious on thoughts.

    Thanks.

All of your questions should have been answered by your treating physician.

You should ask them, has there are too many variables to answer you question over the internet.

6 weeks is an average healing time for most fractures, although this can vary greatly.
