I'm waiting for my insurance to approve some extra imaging that my podiatrist ordered for a plantar fibroma(my assumption, based on Google).
It's been a couple of weeks since my last appointment and I completely forgot to ask him about this stubborn little bruise under the pinky toe nail on that same foot.
I noticed the lump around September last year, was selling a house and kinda forgot to bring it up to my GP until around December(it looked like I had a little almond under one of my ugly Christmas socks).
And I remember spotting the bruise last summer(June or July), still not sure how/when I stubbed my toe, but if you've noticed a trend, I'm slightly forgetful. Then a couple of days ago, I was getting out of the shower and saw that the nail over the bruise wasn't really there anymore.
It seems like a long time for a bruise to hang around, plus the nail thing is kinda weird, so I messaged the podiatrist today. I'll probably hear back from him on Monday, but until then/for curiosity's sake...
Any thoughts on if the bump and the bruise are connected, or why the nail is doing a vanishing act this long after the bruise showed up?

    P.S.

I have Raynaud's, so the purple skin in the second picture is normal, for me. Toe Bruise.jpg Toe Bruise 2.jpg

Could be 'bruising' or extravasation into what is often called a Durlacher or lister's corn.
