I have had burning pain in my left foot arch for a bout 2 years. A Podiatrist said i needed othrotics. These seemed to help for about 2 weeks and i had to go back for adjustments. Well, the doctor was a 4 hour round trip away so this just stopped. I had hoped the situation would heal from my keeping it supported with tape, icing, heating, stretching , etc but still there . Any suggestions?

Once again, if a doctor does not offer a patient an actual diagnosis and explain what and how orthotics, or, for that matter ANY treatment is intended to accomplish, in my opinion he/she has been derelict in duty. I would have no clue based on the information in your post why you have burning pain in the arch, and without a diagnosis, treatment advice would be impossible, let alone inappropriate.
