No visible scabs or flaking. Probably not athlete's foot therefore. My podiatrist says there is a nerve that runs along the top of the foot and feeds the area between these toes. The only recommendation he had was to soak in lukewarm or cold water.....and not to sleep with my feet under the covers. This is maddening. I am on the verge of insanity the itching is so bad. Oh, and it itches during the day at times as well. The podiatrist says it is due to temperature change in the foot. I have tried soooooo many anti-itch creams. I am almost begging for some insights. Appreciate it much.

The most common reason for itching between the toes is a tinea or athletes foot. Even though you have no signs of it, try an anti-fungal cream

I would, add some baby powder to your feet before you put socks on, see if this helps. If the warm water dose not work try exercising your foot, maybe give it a few stretches throughout the day.
